VLT-001 — What is Vaultwarden?

1. Self-hosted password manager at vault.saxobroko.com on TrueNAS.
2. Stores bank, insurance, Authentik, Cloudflare, homelab logins.

VLT-002 — Server URL for all clients?

1. https://vault.saxobroko.com — set before first login in every app.

VLT-003 — Invalid master password?

1. Caps Lock, copy from handover, try web vault, stop after 3 tries.

VLT-004 — Create new Bitwarden account?

1. No — new account is empty. Use Saxon's existing account.

VLT-005 — YubiKey required but fails?

1. Desk USB key, portable NFC key, try other key, check PIN — YubiKey FAQs.

VLT-006 — Forgot master password?

1. Search handover + recovery codes. Do not wipe NAS. Ask Ryan.

VLT-007 — Vault site won't load?

1. Test internet, another device, NAS may be off — internet broken guide.

VLT-008 — Unlock vs login?

1. Login = new device + 2FA. Unlock = master/PIN on already logged-in app.

VLT-009 — Server location?

1. TrueNAS 192.168.2.203 — PC is client only.

VLT-010 — Official Bitwarden apps OK?

1. Yes with self-hosted URL — not bitwarden.com cloud.

VLT-011 — Find MyState login?

1. Search MyState — Login MyState.

VLT-012 — Find Vanguard login?

1. Search Vanguard — Login Vanguard.

VLT-013 — Folders meaning?

1. Organize entries — search finds everything regardless.

VLT-014 — Phone not syncing?

1. Check self-hosted URL, refresh, vault server must be up.

VLT-015 — Browser extension locked?

1. Enter master password or PIN/biometric.

VLT-016 — Should I export backup?

1. Yes — encrypted export offline periodically.

VLT-017 — Restore from export?

1. Tools → Import — Ryan handles server DB restore if needed.

VLT-018 — Admin panel?

1. Server admin — Ryan only, token in vault.

VLT-019 — TOTP codes in vault?

1. Yes — authenticator on login entries.

VLT-020 — Share one account?

1. Not recommended — separate users better.

VLT-021 — Works on Wi‑Fi not mobile data?

1. Tunnel/geo — try home Wi‑Fi or VPN to AU.

VLT-022 — 502 on vault URL?

1. Restart Vaultwarden app on TrueNAS.

VLT-023 — How long is master password?

1. Long passphrase — copy from handover, don't retype.

VLT-024 — Phone biometric unlock?

1. OK after first master login — secure the phone itself.

VLT-025 — Cloudflare login?

1. Search Cloudflare — needs YubiKey too.

VLT-026 — Car insurance login?

1. Search insurance — car insurance.

VLT-027 — Mobile bill login?

1. Search mobile carrier — pay phone bill.

VLT-028 — Amazon Prime login?

1. Search Amazon — pay Prime.

VLT-029 — Greenfleet login?

VLT-030 — Password seems wrong?

1. Check entry history and notes before site reset.

VLT-031 — Deleted item by mistake?

1. Trash in Bitwarden or restore from export/snapshot.

VLT-032 — Attachments in vault?

1. Some entries store files — download after unlock.

VLT-033 — Organization / shared vault?

1. If Saxon created org — Ryan knows membership.

VLT-034 — Vault on new PC?

1. Install Bitwarden, set URL, login with master+2FA.

VLT-035 — Emergency access feature?

1. Check if enabled — Ryan would know Bitwarden org settings.

VLT-036 — Rate limited after tries?

1. Wait 15–30 min — don't keep guessing.

VLT-037 — LAN access without tunnel?

1. Ryan may use TrueNAS app port from home network if configured.

VLT-038 — Never put passwords in SaxDocs?

1. Correct — vault only. FAQs never contain secrets.

VLT-039 — After Saxon died — open vault?

1. Master password + YubiKey from handover — Ryan helps.

VLT-040 — Wipe vault server?

1. Never without backup — destroys all passwords.
