Physical equipment map
What physical boxes exist in Saxon's Sunbury home setup, what they do, and what not to touch.
Saxon's network uses addresses like 192.168.2.200 (PC) and 192.168.2.203 (server). The router is usually 192.168.2.1.
Ryan inherits all of this

dsm.saxobroko.com is a old name from Saxon's Synology days. It still points to this TrueNAS box.
Do not:
- Pull out hard drives while powered on
- Factory reset from BIOS without Ryan
- Move the box while it is running
Windows PC
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Role | Client — not the main server anymore |
| IP | 192.168.2.200 |
| Uses | Games, browser, Jellyfin client, maps A: drive to media on TrueNAS |
Apps like Jellyfin and Vaultwarden run on TrueNAS, not this PC.

Wi‑Fi names and passwords are in Vaultwarden, not here.
What is NOT a separate box
| Thing | Reality |
|---|---|
| Jellyfin, Vaultwarden, Sonarr… | Software inside TrueNAS (Docker apps) |
| docs.saxobroko.com | Hosted on Cloudflare Pages — not a physical box at home |
| Cloudflare Tunnel | Program on TrueNAS connecting home to internet |
Cables (simple)
- NBN → modem → Dream Machine WAN port
- Dream Machine LAN → TrueNAS Ethernet
- Dream Machine LAN → PC Ethernet (or PC on Wi‑Fi)
- Power to each box — use surge boards; avoid yanking cords
If this goes wrong
You hear clicking from TrueNAS
- Possible disk fault. Do not open bays randomly. Photo any error lights; ask Ryan or read Backups and pool health.
No Wi‑Fi but PC wired internet works
- Access points or UniFi issue — see When internet is broken.
Power outage
- When power returns, wait 10 minutes for everything to boot. TrueNAS is slow to start — normal.
You unplugged the wrong device
- Plug back in. Start with modem → router → TrueNAS → PC.
