Jellyfin for beginners

Jellyfin is the app for watching movies and TV shows stored at home. Open it in a web browser or the Jellyfin app.

Website: stream.saxobroko.com

What you need

  • A device with a browser (Windows PC, phone, tablet, smart TV browser)
  • Home Wi‑Fi (easiest), or mobile data in Australia
  • Your login — stored in Vaultwarden (search Jellyfin or Authentik)

Step 1 — Open Jellyfin

  1. Open Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
  2. Click the address bar.
  3. Type: stream.saxobroko.com
  4. Press Enter.

Step 2 — Log in (if asked)

You may see one or two login screens. That is normal.

Authentik first (common)

  1. A page says Authentik or sends you to auth.saxobroko.com.
  2. Enter username and password from Vaultwarden.
  3. Click Sign in or Continue.

Jellyfin login

  1. If Jellyfin asks for username and password, use the Jellyfin entry in Vaultwarden.
  2. Some setups skip this after Authentik — you go straight to the library.

Tip: On the Windows PC, unlock the Bitwarden extension (shield icon) and use autofill.

Step 3 — Find something to watch

  1. You should see a home screen with posters or a menu.
  2. Use the menu (☰ or sidebar) to browse:
  3. Movies
  4. TV Shows
  5. Continue watching (if you started something before)
  6. Click a poster to open the detail page.
  7. Click Play (▶).

Step 4 — While watching

Action How
Pause Click the screen or press Space (PC)
Full screen Click the full-screen icon (corners)
Subtitles Click the speech bubble icon → pick a track
Volume Device volume buttons or on-screen slider
Stop Back button or close the player

Watching on a phone or TV

Phone / tablet

  1. Install the official Jellyfin app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. When asked for Server address, enter: https://stream.saxobroko.com
  3. Log in with the same accounts as above.

Smart TV

Many TVs have a Jellyfin app, or use the built-in browser and go to stream.saxobroko.com.

If the TV app is confusing, casting from the PC browser often works better.

Request something that is not there

If a movie or show is missing:

  1. Open request.saxobroko.com — see Request a movie or show.
  2. Wait — new content is not instant (often hours to a day).

Troubleshooting

Problem What to try
Page will not load When internet is broken
Spinning / won't play When media won't play
Forgot password Vaultwarden → search Jellyfin / Authentik
Works on Wi‑Fi, not on phone data abroad Geo-block — expected outside Australia
Old Plex bookmark Use stream.saxobroko.com only
