Homepage for beginners

Homepage is a single dashboard with tiles (buttons) for all the main homelab apps — Jellyfin, Navidrome, Overseerr, TrueNAS, and more.

Think of it as the front door to Saxon's services.

Step 1 — Open the dashboard

  1. Open a browser on the Windows PC or phone.
  2. Go to dash.saxobroko.com.
  3. Press Enter.

Step 2 — Log in through Authentik

Homepage is protected by Authentik — an extra login layer.

  1. If you see a login page, enter your Authentik username and password from Vaultwarden.
  2. Click Sign in.
  3. After success, the dashboard with tiles appears.

If you only see login every time, that is OK — it keeps random visitors out.

Step 3 — Use the tiles

Each tile is a shortcut to a service. Typical examples:

Tile might say Opens
Jellyfin / Stream stream.saxobroko.com
Navidrome / Music music.saxobroko.com
Overseerr / Request request.saxobroko.com
Photos photos.saxobroko.com
TrueNAS / DSM dsm.saxobroko.com
Vaultwarden vault.saxobroko.com
  1. Click a tile to open that service in a new tab.
  2. You may need to log in again inside that service — normal.

Step 4 — Read status colours (if shown)

Some tiles show green / yellow / red dots or labels:

Colour Meaning
Green Service looks healthy
Yellow / orange Slow or warning
Red Service may be down

If Jellyfin is red, try When media won't play before clicking around admin tools.

Bookmark it

On the Windows PC:

  1. With dash.saxobroko.com open, press Ctrl+D (bookmark).
  2. Name it Home dashboard.
  3. Use it instead of remembering every URL.

Troubleshooting

Problem What to try
Only login page, no tiles Wrong Authentik password — Vaultwarden; or ask admin to check your Authentik account
Blank page after login Hard refresh: Ctrl+F5
Dashboard loads but tiles all red NAS or tunnel issue — Turn everything on, then Restart cloudflared
Cannot open dash outside Australia Geo-block — expected
